Bootloader location and protection fuses [solved] - fuffkin - 2012-11-26 Is it possible to locate the bootloader in the boot segment of a chip i.e just after the interrupts rather than at the end? I'm looking at using the bootloader with a pic12f1822 and would like to be able to use the flash write protection fuse by locating it in the boot sector. I've had some bad experiences in the past with non-protected bootloaders a which have been corrupted by users. I like to be safe in the knowledge that however much they abuse the chip electrically, they'll always be able to recover the user code with the protected bootloader. RE: Bootloader location and protection fuses - Mikael Gustavsson - 2012-12-05 Yes that should be possible. However this kind of support is not available to users of the free version.
