Bootloader Start Address
#1
Hi!

PIC: 18f25k22

Using ds30LoaderGui.exe (free), info says:

Bootloader (guessed)
Start address:x7EC0
Row location: 507-511
Size: 5 pages
Size: 5 rows

However, dissembling the bootloader firmware loaded in the PIC, bootloader starts at 0x7DBC (GOTO user app) or 7DC0 (actual bootloader code).

Why this mismatch? Can it cause problems with user apps with almost full program memory?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,
The correct boot loader placement is determined when connection has been established with the boot loader. There is no need to worry.
