Does the GUI run under Windows 7? [solved]

I have been using the GUI with several computers running XP with good results. However, when I try it with a computer running windows 7, it times out immediately. The GUI is set up to retry every 500mS and to keep trying for 10000mS. On an XP machine, it does just that. However, on 7, it reports that it has timed out in 0.3 seconds. This does not give me time to start my board and allow them to communicate.

Has anyone else been able to run the GUI under windows 7?

It turns out that the person using it was selecting the wrong comm port. I think that windows 7 uses some comm ports a little differently. When the correct port was selected, it worked correctly.
